Charles Mayer

Charles Mayer is an internationally recognised actor and voice artist, trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama (BA Hons Acting). Originally from the UK, Charles has worked extensively across Australia and internationally. Recent screen roles include Dr Taylor in Home and Away (Seven), and DCI Kilroy in North Shore (Paramount+). He has earned multiple Best Actor nominations for his roles in I Am (AI Films) and A Gentleman’s Agreement.​

Charles’s film credits include Rabbit, The Pack, August Watershed, The Old Mansion House, Shanghai Calling, Ip Man 2, Ghosts of Old Shanghai, Greys In Between, and The Ultimate Truth. His television credits span Pine Gap, Gallipoli, The Lost Tools of Henry Hoke, DeadlineGallipoli, Wastelander Panda, ANZAC Girls, Sam Fox: Extreme Adventures, City Beat, Hotel Babylon, and MI-5.

On stage, Charles has led productions of The Tempest, Macbeth, Romeo & Juliet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Richard III, and Henry IV Parts 1 & 2 for companies including Pop-up Globe, State Theatre Company of South Australia, and Come You Spirits. He made his West End debut in Bent in 2006. Charles has wrapped on filming his comedic role in The Artful Dodger Season 2.
