Peter (PJ) Williams

PJ is an award-winning Actor and Director based in Canberra. His directing credits span theatre and opera, including for The Street Theatre, Grimm & The Blue Crown Owl (opera), Laurie & Shirley(A play in verse), Lies, Love & Hitler, and War of the Worlds.

Most recently he directed ENRON for The Mill Theatre, and Hansel & Gretel (opera) for the National Opera Company in 2025.

PJ has received multiple Canberra Critics Circle Awards (2016, 2018, 2024) and the MEAA Actors Equity Award for Professional Practice (2008).

Alongside his directing work, he was a co-founder of ImproACT.

He has also served on the boards of the National Folk Festival and The Street Theatre Canberra, and has been a proud MEAA member since 1989.
