Rebecca Smart

Rebecca Smart is an award-winning Australian actor with a career spanning film, television, and theatre. She first gained recognition as a child star, winning the Logie Award for Best Actress in a Mini-Series for The Shiralee and the Young Variety Award in 1989. Her talent continued to be acknowledged with nominations for Best Supporting Actor at both the Film Critics Circle of Australia and AFI Awards for her role in Blackrock (1997).

Rebecca’s extensive theatre experience includes performances with the Sydney Theatre Company in The Crucible, Blackrock, and Del Del, as well as Hollow Ground at NIDA/Belvoir St Theatre.

Her television career boasts an array of Australian classics, with roles in Blue Heelers, Water Rats, Murder Call, Heartbreak High, G.P., Rafferty’s Rules, and Come In Spinner. She also starred in children’s and young adult programming, including Elly & Jools, Clowning Around, and The Shiralee.

On screen, Rebecca has appeared in feature films such as Celia, Say a Little Prayer, Savages Crossing, and Skin Deep. She played a pivotal role in Blackrock, further cementing her reputation as a compelling performer in Australian cinema. Continuing her lifelong passion for storytelling, Rebecca remains dedicated to her craft, bringing authenticity and depth to every role she takes on.
