Shannon Janes

Shannon is a Sydney-based musical theatre performer who trained and graduated from Brent Street (Diploma of Musical Theatre, 2025) and John Curtin College of the Arts (Cert II in Music, 2023).​

 

During her time at Brent Street, Shannon stepped into the role of Ms Flemming in Heathers and performed as Lucinda and understudy Cinderella in Into the Woods. She also wrote her own cabaret show, Worst Jeans In All Hell, a comedic exploration of morality, the afterlife, and Saint Peter. At John Curtin College, she performed in Strictly Ballroom as Liz, while also serving as Ballroom and Latin Dance Captain and choreographing several numbers.

Shannon has spent the past year performing in the live entertainment sector at Luna Park, appearing as a featured midway dancer (Luna Park in the Dark), scare actor (Halloscream), and regularly clowning and improvising throughout the park.

​

She is keen to expand her screen credits and is currently featured in the historical Luna Park mini-series as Ms Squeak and a corporate employee. Shannon has also worked as an extra for Eureka Productions’ upcoming season of Australian Idol.
