Sol Mason

Sol Mason is an Australian actor who has worked across theatre, film, and television in Los Angeles. He performed regularly with Paul Sand’s Projects Theatre Company, most recently appearing as the Pilot in The Pilot Who Crashed the Party, a dramedy about spies. His stage work also includes Clara Mamet’s original one-act The Solvit Kids, and the cabaret Kurt Weill at the Cuttlefish Hotel, produced in part and performed at the Actors’ Gang Theatre in Los Angeles.

His film and television credits include the Netflix revival Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, as well as the films Simple Being and The Black That Follows. Additional screen work includes Erebus Calling, A Good Hard Night, and From the Ocean.

Sol has also appeared with several Los Angeles theatre companies including Whittier Shakespeare Company and Long Beach Shakespeare Company.

He trained at the Ruskin School of Acting in Los Angeles, completing their two-year Meisner program, which evolved into a mentorship with Paul Sand. His improvisational training includes work with Aretha Sills, Upright Citizens Brigade, and iO Theater. He also studied Chekhov technique at the Art of Acting Studio (Stella Adler lineage) and classical Shakespeare with Susan Angelo.
